To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han

From Goodreads: “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is the story of Lara Jean, who has never openly admitted her crushes, but instead wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sealed it, and hid it in a box under her bed. But one day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed, causing all her crushes from her past to confront her about the letters: her first kiss, the boy from summer camp, even her sister’s ex-boyfriend, Josh. As she learns to deal with her past loves face to face, Lara Jean discovers that something good may come out of these letters after all.”

I seriously want to GUSH about this book. GUSH! Everything about it is just wonderful. The cover is oh-so-pretty, the title is so simple-yet-intriguing, and the story is beyond cute and awkward and FUNNY! I seriously love this story. Not only does it focus on Lara Jean and her secret past crushes and awkward new crushes but it spends a lot of time with her adorable family (who totally made this story!)

I don’t know what to say without giving things away. I would hate to spoil it (so go out and read it so we can discuss it in detail pleaseeee!!)

Lara Jean is so cute and innocent. Somewhat naive at times, but redeemable. Margot is a typical older sister who had to take on the mother role at such a young age. She’s strong, smart, and a wonderful role model. Katherine (or Kitty to those she knows and likes) is a typical younger sister, baby-like but smart and quite ingenious when it comes to getting things her way. Josh is the cute-boy-next-door who it totally off limits.. Who would go after their sisters ex-boyfriend? And Peter.. he is so annoyingly charming and conceited. I cannot forget to mention their Dad! His small presence makes such an impact on the family dynamics in this book, I seriously wanted to join this family!

So, the wrap this up.. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who enjoys the following:

  • Young Adult Books
  • Young love
  • Quirky/awkward relationships
  • Sisterly love
  • Fun families
  • Feel good books.

Go read it!!

Rating – 4.5/5

p.s. Apparently there will be a sequel to this book!! WHAAAAT?!?!?!?! I cannot wait!!
