Title: Murder Past Due
Author: Miranda James
Genre: Cozy Mystery

Book Beginning:

A hurricane slammed through my kitchen this morning, and his name was Justin. I sighed, surveying the aftermath of my boarder’s breakfast. What had gotten into the boy?

Thought/Reactions:

Nothing super exciting about the first couple of sentences. It does lead to the introduction of Justin who shows up heavily in the book. I didn’t think much of the book from the opening sentences but it got better! I am enjoying this so far 😀

What is your Book Beginnings?

Although the beginning isn’t the most inspired one it does give you a hint at the relationships between the two characters mentioned! And I love how focused the cat looks on that cover, there’s some serious determination going on there! Thanks for sharing 🙂 I hope you have a great week!
