Free Time Fridays (Sept 4)

Free Time Fridays is a weekly meme created and hosted by eatupmyfreetime.

On Fridays we will recap how we spent our free time during the week + our plans for the weekend! ie. Did you read? If so, what books? Did you shop? Listen to any cool tunes? Binge watch any cool TV shows? Take any trips lately? I want to hear all about it!! You can either mention ALL of the ways you spent your free time that week or focus on one activity. Whatever your heart desires!

My Free time:

YAY FRIDAY! YAY LONG WEEKEND! So glad this weekend is finally here! We are heading back to our favourite vacation spot for a night and I CANNOT WAIT. More yummy food and wine to come hehe.

Reading – I started Along Came a Spider by James Patterson and enjoying it so far. He is quite a huge author and I haven’t read any of his work so I thought I should try something. I am really digging mysteries right now and this one is hitting the spot! Are you a Patterson fan? Any fave books by him?

Books – There were a few awesome gifts/purchases! My in-laws bought me a Judy Blume box set!! I haven’t read any of her books but always wanted to. Now I can! I also got a few reduced Chelsea Cain books. Love bargains 😀

Furbabies – We took Millie to daycare yesterday! Wanted to try it out and give her an opportunity to socialize with more dogs. She LOVED it!! Had a blast. I am so happy!! When we got home she went straight to bed, exhausted from all of her adventures at daycare. Yay! Happy dog = Happy dog parents lol.

I hope you have a great weekend! Do something fun ok?!

Tell me about your week!

xox, Shannon

Oddly enough, I’ve never read any of Patterson’s books. I hear of them all the time, especially those featuring Alex Cross. Somehow I just never got started on that series.

    Enjoy the trip!

I also kept hearing about his books. It seems to have a love it or hate it reaction but the Alex Cross ones got the best reviews. Along Came a Spider is the first in the series. I am liking it a lot so far!
